Freelance Photojournalism

I am a trained photojournalist based out of Portland, Oregon. I freelance locally and on travel assignments.

I earned a bachelor's degree in journalism, with an emphasis in photojournalism, from the University of Montana. My work has been featured in several newspapers, magazines and niche publications such as The Bellingham (Wash.) Herald, The (Vancouver, Wash.) Columbian and Pacific Yachting Magazine. In addition to photography, I have spent time creating multimedia content for the Web.

I have expanded my work to include assignment and advertising photography, developing productions and an in-depth understanding of product photography including location lighting. Combining these skills with my photojournalism background, I can create complex lighting set-ups on editorial assignments.

My work has been recognized and awarded by the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Association of Press Photographers.
